Disclosure

Little Forest Owl is a personal project rooted in my lived experiences, values, and the work I do as a horticulturist and educator. Everything shared here, whether it’s about growing food, making botanical beauty products, hosting workshops, or exploring sustainability, is written, created, and curated by me, Katrina.

I don’t have a team or content agency behind me. What you see here reflects my hands, my voice, and the values I try to live by. I only highlight projects, ideas, and brands that align with my approach to community, low-impact living, and creativity. While I always welcome feedback, I ask that it’s shared with the same care and respect I bring to this space.
Gifting, Samples & Press Opportunities
From time to time, I may be gifted items, invited to events, or offered opportunities to try products or experiences. When that happens, it doesn’t influence my views, I only accept items that genuinely reflect my interests in gardening, sustainability, and creative reuse. If I feature a gifted item, it will be clearly marked with ‘c/o’ on its first mention.
Affiliate Links
Some of the links I share may be affiliate links. That means I might earn a small commission if you choose to click and buy something, at no extra cost to you. I always choose products based on what I truly recommend first, and only link to things that feel relevant to my work and values.
There’s absolutely no pressure to click, but thank you if you do.
Sponsored Work & Collaborations
Collaborations and paid partnerships help support the work I do and allow me to keep this space going. I’m selective with who I partner with, and will only collaborate with organisations that share similar ethics around sustainability, nature, and community wellbeing.
Sponsored posts will always be clearly labelled, both in the copy and at the end of the post, so you know when I’ve been paid to create something.
Cookies
While the only cookies I really enjoy are the edible kind, this website uses digital cookies too — just the useful ones.
Cookies help me understand how visitors engage with my content, track affiliate links, and improve how the site functions. Some are essential to make things work properly, while others are optional and help with things like analytics.
Some cookies are set by trusted third-party tools such as Elfsight, which help with features like forms or pop-ups. If I ever use analytics tools (like Google Analytics), they’ll also be included here with the option to opt out.
When you visit the site, a cookie banner gives you the choice to allow or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time. For more information, see the cookie consent pop-up or get in touch.
