Secondhand Clothes & Plant Swaps

Every year, tonnes of clothing end up in landfill or incineration, yet so much of it is still perfectly good. Swap events offer a joyful, sustainable alternative. Instead of throwing things out or buying new, people come together to exchange what they no longer need for something they’ll use and love.

Clothes and plant swaps are growing in popularity across the UK as people look for meaningful ways to reduce waste, live more affordably, and support their wellbeing. These events are not just about stuff, they're about sharing, connecting, and creating a more circular way of living. Whether you're refreshing your wardrobe, bringing home a new houseplant, or chatting to someone over a pot of compost, you're helping to build a community that values care over consumption.

Looking to run a friendly, low-waste event? I can host a relaxed, community-led swap where people bring along pre-loved clothes, plants, cuttings, or seeds and exchange them with others. It’s a fun and informal way to refresh your wardrobe, grow your garden, and reduce waste, all while connecting with others.

I’ll guide the session and help everything run smoothly, whether it’s part of a festival, open day, or neighbourhood event.

Please note: Clothing rails, tables, mirrors, and starter clothes are only available when the swap is held at our R-Urban venue. Use of the venue is discretionary and subject to availability, with priority given to community-focused or partner events.

Alongside swap events, I also offer a small, curated selection of secondhand clothing for sale through my preloved store. Each item is carefully chosen with style, condition, and reusability in mind. Buying secondhand supports slower fashion, reduces waste, and gives clothes a longer life. You’ll find one-off pieces that are, affordable, wearable, and great condition.
